Q. How do I set up an auto responder in @mail?

Login to your @mail account.

Depending on your version of @mail follow those directions:
If this is not what your version of @mail looks like, then go to Version 2 below. If it is, keep reading Version 1.

Version 1

  • Go to preferences
  • Then go to account preferences
  • Click the tab that says “mail settings.”
  • There you will fill in all your appropriate information. However you have to be careful for a number of reasons the first is that there is a character limit, and the second is that some symbols don’t translate properly so when you save it and it auto responds it may look funny to the recipient.
  • Put in the appropriate auto response.
  • Click Save Settings on the bottom right.
  • Send a message from your account another e-mail you have or an e-mail of a friend and make sure it looks exactly how you want it to look.

Version 2

  • Go to settings
  • Scroll down to the appropriate field.
  • There you will fill in all your appropriate information. However you have to be careful for a number of reasons the first is that there is a character limit, and the second is that some symbols don’t translate properly so when you save it and it auto responds it may look funny to the recipient.
  • Put in the auto response.
  • Click Save Settings on the middle left.
  • Then send a message from your account another e-mail you have or an e-mail of a friend and make sure it looks exactly how you want it to look.
